If you look at our notes from 11/1 the body shop manager called XPO immediately to report this. I spoke with him the same day when he called XPO.

When XPO came to deliver this they simply dropped this at the mechanic shop (not the auto body side) and left. The box was sitting at the corner of the garage and simply left there. I just spoke with the body shop owner about this again and he is very friendly and we have spoken each time we worked on this claim for him. The day this happened he called me as soon as they saw this box was left there and found it was damaged and he hung up with me and called XPO immediately. He even called me back after he spoke with XPO.
We need a replacement hood as the customer really wants this item. The length of time on this claim is causing issues for the body shop with their customer so we need to resolve this promptly. I cannot leave this customer be stuck with a product that is damaged when the delivery driver did not do his job properly.

If XPO will not resolve this then we will be forced to eat a loss to make this right. My customer has been extremely patient and has been in contact with me by phone since the delivery date. Please keep us posted as they need an ETA for a new shipment as they have to complete customer vehicle. His customer is putting pressure on him at the shop everyday.
I spoke with the shop owner from the very start as soon as they saw this was left at the mechanic shop side of their building and driver left.

My customer called me today to check on status of this claim. He really needs to finish up this claim as this is hurting his business relationship with his customer. The carrier made the mistake from the beginning by delivering without signature and just dropping the hood off and leaving. The carrier also left the shipment on the mechanic shop side not the auto body side. I spoke with this body shop owner right from beginning by phone within minutes of delivery. This has been going on since well before Thanksgiving since 11/1.
He needs a replacement asap.
